Scrappy Polymer Clay Beads Tutorial

So after the Faux Ammolite Tutorial you all wanted to know what I would do with the scraps that were left. Well, this is what I came up with. It’s very similar to my Squish and Squash technique and works with any leftover scraps from veneers.

I also show what to do with leftover metal leaf fragments by applying them to clay and using a silkscreen to create an almost animal print effect.

This project is easy, forgiving and can be done with just about any scraps you have.

You will need the following supplies:

  • Metal leaf scraps
  • A tissue blade
  • A pasta machine
  • An acrylic roller
  • An oven
  • A craft knife
  • Black stazon ink
  • Pebble stencil
  • Black polymer clay
  • Sandpaper
  • Black Sculpey liquid clay
  • Magic gloss resin
  • A pin drill
  • Accu-flex
  • Silver clasp, jumpring, crimps, charlotte crimps
  • Pliers
