Have you ever had
trouble with your Skinner Blend or veneer expanding too much when you roll it through your polymer clay pasta
machine? You can prevent this problem by using width guides on your machine, but depending which machine you have, width guides are not always easy to come across. So what to do?
In this polymer clay tutorial I’ll be showing a simple and easy way to prevent your Skinner Blend or veneer from expanding to the width of your pasta machine without using width guides.
How to Use a Polymer Clay Pasta Machine Without Width Guides
-
So all you need to do is butt your Skinner Blend or polymer clay veneer up against the side of your pasta machine and run it through.
-
Fold like you normally would and butt it up against the edge of the machine again.
-
Run it through and repeat.
-
Swap sides occasionally as both sides of the blend or veneer tend to expand.
This should help reduce how much the clay expands as you roll it through and it also gives you a nice clean edge.
